Watching 'Inception' prompts director to change 'X-Men: First Class' movie

Inception which was the number one movie at the box office for the last three weeks, had a strange effect on viewers worldwide, almost requiring repeat business to unlock its mysteries. But Inception also had an unlikely effect of a certain uncanny superhero franchise: Marvel Comics' X-Men. According to the X-Men: First Class director Matthew Vaughn, a viewing of the recent blockbuster film by Christopher Nolan forced Vaughn to change his own movie because of similarities, mainly surreal zero gravity fight scenes in rotating rooms.
Vaughn explained his revisions to the LA Times: "I saw Inception, which I loved, but my heart sank when I saw that a few of the ideas we had were up [on the screen]. So it's either leave it in and look as if you're copying or change things. We completely ripped out about 12 pages of the script and the storyboards."
Vaughn admitted that he had imagined rotating rooms in his new film, but now that is very closely associated with Inception, which featured a real life, 120 meters long, 30 meters wide corridor wiring and precise choreography.

About X-Men: First Class
Before Charles Xavier and Erik Lensherr became known as Professor X and Magneto, they were two young men discovering their powers for the first time. Before being arch-enemies, they were the most intimate of friends, working together with other mutants (some familiar, some new) to prevent the greatest threat the world has ever known. In the process, a rift opened between them that began the eternal war between the Magneto's Brotherhood of Mutants and Professor X's X-Men.

Speaking of stealing idea's, it seems some folks are claiming Inception is a blatant rip-off of a Scrooge McDuck comic. You can read the comic for free here and decide for yourself.
